    Hi all

Customer complained of an unusual knocking on full load:
I have had a good feel of the drum and can find no play in it and it has probably the best set of bearings I have felt for ages (removed belt and gave drum a sharp spin and it happily kept rotating at speed for well over 30 seconds).
The outer spider looks OK and the inner spider feels OK as well, the springs and legs also feel good so I am clutching at straws a bit with this one.

I did notice when looking underneath that there appears to be a crack by one of the suspension leg mountings but it doesn’t go through both layers of metal so I am wondering if this is the cause – I am sure that I have read something about this problem on some machines and possibly about a repair kit for fixing it but can’t find much on it.

    Any help/info much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Jem

if the chassis has a crack in it then you are flogging a dead horse.

There is a chassis repair kit, damned if I can remember the number but will have a look for it.

I did even manage to fit this kit to an integrated model for which it was not designed.

Part number of kit is C00202585, list price is £45 though and it is not listed for all models.

I will check if I have your e-mail address and send you the tech bulletin, it may give you an idea of if you will be able to make it fit.

    Jim.

EDIT, Don’t appear to have it, PM me an e-mail address and I will send it to you.
