    Hi.
I hope this is an ok question to ask??
Our Indesit W/M started to make a horrible noise when on spin, sounded like something was rubbing..
A friend who use to service W/M had a look and listen and said it sounds like the fork on the rear of the drum had broke, he said its made of cast iron.
The W/M is about 7-8 years old.
Is it this that’s broke C00074211 – Indesit & Ariston Washing Machine Drum Pulley

How much would it be to supply and fit??

    Many thanks.

    Its a W123S 😉

Removal of the back panel should reveal if the drum pulley has broken or not. It does happen but not that often.

The only ‘cast iron’ in some of these is the main bearing support spider which will not have broken.

Its far more likely that the inner drum support spider has broken, very flimsy alloy that rots through.

If the drum pulley is not broken and the drum spins freely without noise with the belt removed then it points towards the inner drum support.

This machine has a sealed drum assembly so this repair is way beyond economic viability. 😥

7 to 8 years is double the average lifespan of Indesit machines so you have done well.
