Hi, I help out with a charity that assists the elderly. Lady has above machine 18 months old with knackered drum bearing due to faulty seal. otherwise working ok apart from the banging sounds. I change the bearing in the spider and fit new seal at my workshop for her, but the bloody thing doesn’t work. The controller clicks around and the pump constant runs. I can “reset” it. ie turn controller to blob (end of cycle) watch neon flsah twice, turn off , turn controller to say -spin, turn on. The machine starts its spin mode but then stops and the controller clicks rotary again. L have access to some scrap machines and I swop out the controller and the logic board individually to no avail. ( I’m assuming these used items are not faulty also).

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE. Handiman ( Retired B.T Telecoms exchange engineer)

    Hi

When the control knob clicks round you should see one of the lights flashing. It will flash a number of times then pause for about ten secs then do another group of flashes.

Count the number of flashes in the group as this signifies an error code and may be a clue as to the problem

ANDY, We’ve given the old lady one of our “loan” machines. I’ve just got back to this one and we have a series of THREE flashes. Does anyone know what area that might signify. ..Cheers….handiman

Three flashes normally indicates a faulty or disconnected temperature sensor (in the heater).

THANKS BOBOKINES !!. When I removed the drum assembly I can remember having some difficulty disconnecting the wiring connector from the thermostat because it was hard up against the element spade. Turned out I must have been a bit heavy with it because it was intermittently “dis” unless you pushed on the wire. I pinched one from a scrap machine and pieced it out. What do you know its perfect and the bearings sound good too. Should have one very happy old lady. Cheers………… handiman.
