hi, could anyone help me out with a faluty indesit w133? To begin with the machine was making a very loud noise when spinning, and now it does not complete the wash cycle. It fills with water and makes two short rotations, as normal, but then it stops, drains and makes whirring and sloshing sounds. The dial just rotates, and the fault code given is two flashes of the LED.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I’m afraid your motor is the likely problem, probably burnt out. Costly to replace too 😥

hang about, are you sure that it could be the motor? because the drum does turn in the beginning. if the motor was burnt out the presumably it would not turn at all.

Martin only said it was the likely cause as indicated by an F02 fault (Indesit’s own self diagnostics), it’s not unheard of for a motor to tumble but not spin and the motor be the cause 😉

We obviously can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure about anything without actually being there, for that you’ll need an engineer to come and check it 🙂

    Try the repairs@ link below.

problem solved, you were right it was the motor – the wire supplying power to the motor had snapped, presumably due to the vibrations from whatever is causing the awful noise when spinning. its still doing that so im sure something else will go wrong soon…
