    fitted a new element to this heap of tin, but i cant stop water pi$$!^g out of the seal 😕

    Sounds like you might have cut the seal on the sharp edge of the heater aperture. 🙁

    correct heater? absolute nightmare getting the correct part number for those.

    very carefully look along the seam of the tub just above where the metal bends out for the heater hole the metal tubs are prone to getting swiped by the inner drum at this spot and crack it easily gets mistaken as the heater leaking

    i think it is wrong heater, old one 17700w, new 1800w, and rubber seal looks slightly narrower :rolls: thanks guys.

    I had one a couple of years ago and after a lot of head scratching it turned out that the tub WAS leaking where the metal was folded at the flange. magnifying glass and a light I’m afraid.

    the word “tin” sums it up
