ParticipantThis machine no problem for over 2 years – mostly used in (8)quick wash.
Put in wash no response – may have flashed error codes but I was not aware of them then. I recconed there was a H2O probelm and checked the cold water solenoids and sure enough 1 was open circuit. Smiled at how clever I was and ordered replacement, fitted and bingo for 1 second the water operated but no subsequent response. Not smileing any longer and any further attempt to rotate dial results in dial rotating back to original position. Red mains lights flashes v quick when powered up and remains on – no apparent error codes.
Have checked pressure sw.and it’s ok.
Wife is getting heavy on my back – can anyone offer advice (apart from new machine).[/list]March 24, 2007 at 1:19 am #208752indespoint

If you move the dial manually it will always go rotate back to the orginal program you selected.
Cancel the program by switching off and turning selctor to any one of the 5 dots on the selector knob then switch the machine on. this will cancel the program. try the program again and see what happens. If the dial starts to continuously rotate there is a fault. Count the number of flashes as this relates to what the fault isMarch 26, 2007 at 2:56 pm #208753jackoho

Thank you for your reply – I followed your advice without success. Can you advise why when only one of the two solenoids in the cold water feed fails the other dosn’t work. I ask because although they logically might appear to be in parallel – if I had mistakenly crossed over the wiring this could be the problem. (still dosen’t allow for the fact that the water fills for about a second – also is the “pressure sw/sensor ” part of the solenoid?
P.S. Don’t got any fault codes mch. just inactive but door functions operated but dosen’t now click around to default programme since I followed your instruction.
Thanks again for your advice. Can you come up with any other instruction or advise where I can procure a wiring diagram.

the fault code is indicated by however many times the on/off led flashes usualy flashes once followed by a pause for a second then again etc once it has reached its diagnosis there will be a pause for maybe 3-4 seconds then it will repeat the sequence(and the timer knob will also be clicking round) i think the most they flash is 13times but could be more dependig on the fault.
hope this helps

Thanks for all your help and advice. The problem has been resolved – much in part to your information and instructions. When i cancelled the programme i was able to move programme to spin. and this worked – so I knew the programme function was ok and it had to be the solenoid wiring which was the only other thing that had been touched. The wiring had been crossed and bingo – relief and wife back in communication mode. Now all the ironing awaits!!!!!!!!!!
