F12 is supposed to signify a ‘communications’ error. One PCB is not talking to the other. Could be bad connections disturbed during recent repair, wiring faults or failure of either PCB. Or it could just be due to the fact that these machines are amongst the most unreliable on the market at this present time. :rolls:
Please remove the mains plug if you intend to investigate.
NB. W16 is not recognised on my list, although, W161UK is, but that does not have a digital display, are you in the UK?
Jim.

You should be able to find the full model number on the back near a barcode label.
Does it have a small digital display?

F05 means pressure switch is stuck on full, could be plocked pump or filter, faulty pressure switch blocked pressure hose etc.
I think the best thing to with with these machines is to leave of the numbers in the fault codes and just tell it to FO. :rolls:Jim.

👿 I agree totally F O is the best thing you can do with an Indesit we16s.
Fault code F12 in my past experiences with these machines has been the eeprom on the main module bailing out. Some go all at once some drive you crackers with an array of fault codes over a few weeks – then they bail out.😯 If you are nifty with a soldering iron and desolder gun you can replace it for about £25, best get a pro to do it though as the time taken to solder and temperature when resoldering the eeprom can damage it.
💡 Better Still – Go up the high street on Jan 1st and pick up a new shiny washer for about £100 with no digital displays etc and get a good few years peace of mind. As long as the clothes come out cleaner than they went in why worry??
