Hi guys.

When changing a pcb on above model,is it possible to change over the eprom or do you have to fit a new one?.
I don`t usually do these machines but this ones been`dropped` on me.

Chris – You,re on a 50/50 here, is it the eeprom thats causing the problem or is it the module. As the two have to work together the best way is to change both – the eeprom is only about £15 and if you are doing it for a customer best to change both. If its a private job and pound note dependent go for a guaranteed refurb from either EMW or QER. If you need further info drop me a pm. Bonz

Had another ‘write off’ today with this model. Did take a close look to try and figure out what happened though. Basically, and in my estimation I think what happened was: – Large family washing machine, loads of endless washbaskets to empty, machine does 4/5 loads every day. Armature gets a little on the warm side after the 4th wash, suddenly starts to cook…..

……..module says to the motor “its getting hot in here!”, motor says to module “sod you, lets keep going!”…….module overheats and blows big time taking with it the slave timer, 13 amp fuse and the house trip switch and all with it…..!!!!!!!!

Coroners report : – Death by misadventure 😉
