indesit w161 fault

    hi everyone
    i have a indesit w161 washing machine when trying to do a wash it will fill with water do a couple of turns pause a few seconds then start draining at the same time the dial starts clicking round then the start button will flash ten times pause then repeat could it be the heating element? any advise much apreciated kev.

    It indicates a fault with the water level control system. Pressure switch is the most likely culprit.

    Power off if investigating.

    10=pswitch not sensing correctly
    does your machine over or under fill?
    and is it definatly ten flashes

    it fills to about 50 mm in the bottom of the empty drum and it is 10 flashes
    where is the pressure switch located and can it be tested?

    It’s the small switch unit with the thin black hose leading to it. 😉 The switch may be at fault (burnt contacts within) or the hose to it is blocked?

    If you are the least bit unsure, then call in a local expert to check it out for you (see link below)

    cleaned out tubing (full of gunge) put back together and its just completed a full wash 😀 you guys are amazing
