INDESIT WA155 DRUM PADDLES

Evening All.

Went to fit new drum paddle (part number 064789) on one of these wonderful machines today. It looks like this part can only be fitted by removing the drum from the tub and bending the tag over from the inside.
Or am I missing a shortcut here?.

Would the area where the tab is be accessible through the sump hose hole or soap hose hole?

Surely you just deform the tag by pushing a thin screwdriver blade through one of the middle holes. 😕

I removed and refitted one of these yesteday to remove a foriegn object…

The last time I did these paddles, the one paddle had come out. I looked at the bottom of the paddle and could not see anywhere where a clip could retain the thing , so all I did was pull the other two from the back towards the front and they both slid out ( they are a bit tight ). I then just slid the new ones in. There were no retaining clips.

There is a small barb on the inner drum that sticks up slightly to locate the lifter and stop it moving. If the appliance has been used without the lifters then the barb can get snapped off by the clothes.

I have one customer that decided to glue the lifter in place with araldite rather than go for the cost of a new inner drum.
