Indesit Washing Machine erratic wash?

Hi, Indesit Model WG 820 PG

The Washing Machine washes erratically the tumble action is fast and then slow as if there is no regulation. I have been told this could be the tacho generator on the motor or the motor it’s self? I know the fault is either on the motor side, or the Module.

It could be tacho, module or loose/broken wiring between the two. Tacho not available as a separate part, motor very expensive, module not cheap either. 😥

Thanks for your reply Jim. I had an idea it might be something like that but was not sure. I could scope the output of the tacho generator. I used to be a Television Service engineer; sometimes I used to repair the modules on Washing Machines. I know they are expensive, but are not too difficult to repair if you know what you are doing. All Machines use Pulse With Modulation as a means of speed control. The tacho is a reference, the motor being controlled by a Triac.
