KeymasterThe spin cycle speed on my washing machine doesnt work, leaving my clothes really damp. 😕 I have looked for blockages and dont have any. Could anyone suggest what might be wrong or know how i could fix this. Thanks

Will the drum spin at all? Have you tried without washing in to see if it does a full spin I wonder?

Yes it does spin sometimes, probably once in every 10 washes.
I have also tried it empty, and it did spin.

I would suggest that you do have a blockage somewhere, or possibly an intermittent pump fault, it could also be the electronic control playing up.
I would suggest you call an engineer to check for you, apart from the motor itself, the parts are fairly reasonable for these models so it shouldn’t be a horrific repair.
Pop your postcode up and one of the UKW guys should be able to assist.

another thing thats easy to check….The ‘Door Striker’ fixing pin? Would explain an intermittent spin fault 😉
As you look at the Striker (on the door) you should see the ‘Pivot Pin’ both sides of the striker, if you don’t then the pin has slipped down and needs re-locating….easy 8)

Try a boil wash. If the spin improves afterwards, the problem might be sludge in the water level contol system(thinks it has water in so will not spin). Will still need to be repaired though.

Hi, Thanks for all your help. 🙂
I will try those things.
Is is possible to have a circuit diagram of this machine so that i can check if there is current at motor at spin position.
My postcode is E1 4TJ.
Cheers Mate! 😛

Unfortunately a circuit diagram is not available outside the trade and we cannot advise items of a technical nature to the general public. Our comments are given on an advisory basis, beyond that you will need to contact a local engineer to check it for you.
We do have one listing for your postcode area in our “Directories” section 🙂
