Indesit WD10 wont wash – please help!!

Have just tried to switch on my Indesit washer dryer WD10 – no light on the on/off button, not even flashing, but the dryer light seems to be on – albeit very dimly. No noise nor smell from the machine – have unplugged and turned all switches to reset and still nothing has happened. Can anyone please help with any advice before calling in the repairmen? many thanks

-is the door locked? it may just be brushes

if the door is locked and the machine wont go, its usually the brushes

no door can be still be opened, and no humming or noise at all coming from the machine. Have changed the fuse and tried another appliance in the socket, which works fine.
