    Richard,
Power light should flicker at the same time as the dial rotates. If you can let us know how many flashes occur in each group we can cross refer and maybe give you an idea of where to start looking.

In the meantime, switch machine off, set dial to a black dot and switch back on. Computer should reset, ready for programming.

The dryer section on most combi’s is not efficient, failure on this model can also induce the dial to revolve.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

Fault is intermittant. There appears to be two flashes when dial rotates round and round and round. Now when the tumble dryer is used, it is tumbling but not heating up at all. Not entirely sure if the wash cycle is heating water now.

2 flashes means there is a motor related problem, but as you say on the tumble-dry setting the drum rotates this can’t be the case.

To be honest, these Indesit machines and their fault codes/constantly rotating control knobs are virtually impossible to diagnose without actually checking all of the components to eliminate them one by one.

I would ask an engineer to check it for you, take a look in the directories on the main menu or pop your postcode up and someone should be able to assist further.

    Dave.
