washer dryer is about 2 years old. When starting a program, it fills up, the drum rotates 3 or 4 times, then the selector switch startes to rotate and it empties the water. The red light flashes four times when the selector switch is rotating. I called out an engineer to have a look. He said it was fault code 13. he replaced the “brain” and a burnt connection box at the mains incoming. It worked ok for a fortnight then same fault again. Is there anything I can check myself before the engineer comes back. I’m an electrician so not to bad with diy. The machine is still under extended warrenty but it takes an engineer 2 weeks to come out. In the mean time the mother in law is not happy washing our clothes.

Well Gavin I would suggest you wait for the engineer to return and rectify the fault to be honest. 🙁
The fault code you observe relates to a water level control problem, but it could also relate to a bad connection with the components that have been replaced? So it’s best to leave well alone! 😉
