Hi Dave,

Thanks for the quick reply. I will get the man out, whenever he calls… and have them have a look to see what the problem likely is.

I also read on another forum (well google’d) and found that it is possible to do a *reset* of the washing machine. by “turn Prog. Selector knob to any Stop/Reset, wait 5 seconds, then turn knob to the Draining symbol, another wait, machine should be reprogrammed”

I am hoping that the software has just got its knickers in a twist.

Otherwise I think I will be dropping you a line for the spare.

I think the software is causing problems. Turned dial to dot, (reset), an pushed on and off button in, and held in for 10 secs; and it worked for 3 days; the stopped working. Reset several timesover a few days, and finally it started working again.

I have to admit, the WD12 seems to be a REALLY horrible, cheap machine in its construction and operation: YUK!!

and I’ll try your advice when I get home 😀
Will never buy another Indesit or Washer/Dryer combi

I’ve already booked an engineer who’s coming out to mine tomorrow
( thanks for reply to my post a few days ago Martin ).
Repairs section on this site works – Let’s hope he can fix the machine as quickly as he called me back !
