Indesit WD12S UK

    Got an Indesit as above where the timer just clicks round. Does nothing else, now water let in or motor movement. Lifted machine up, strong guy, and found one of the motor carbon brushes on the floor, ruined and no chance of putting back. Would the absence of this brush cause above symptoms or is more likely to be door micro switch as it used to be in eons ago on washing machines :rolls:

    Would reckon that that the motor would be kaput if its minus one brush. Would that cut out all operations of the machine other than timer clicking round? Where in Hampshire are you? Lived in Pompee for many years b4 going north to Scouseland

    Oh yes! In fact any malfunction of these will make the timer knob go spinning. 🙁
