Hi there, I have a Indesit WD12SUK Washer dryer, its 18month old & only gets used a couple of times a week. It broke a week or so ago. Here’s what i know. Mid way through a washing cycle the dial just started to spin so reset fault etc and it cured it for a couple of weeks (sorry never got fault code), then it did it again, reset and it never happened again but the washer does not go through its cycle anymore, water goes in, it heats up then when upto temp it clicks off. Nothing then happens for ages, after a while it goes into drain mode & there it will stay draining untill i turn machine off.
I tried the machine on a drying cycle & a drain & a rinse cycle and all went fine. I took brushes out of motor & cleaned em up, also took timer dial apart to clean pcb board, water probe is good (i adjusted it but fills with to much water, anyone know how much water a washing cycle uses?) .
Now im stuck, still same problem with washing cycle but when on drying cycle after about 20 seconds it goes into fault mode and flashes 5 times?
Im guessing its something to do with motor or the module but im no expert, any help, fault codes terms or cheap parts would be very usefull!

    Many Thanks Andy Chalmers

Re: Indesit WD12SUK 5 Flash Fault

If the motor and brushes are OK then they do not need ‘cleaning up’ .

    Water probe ???

5 flashes is connected to the water level control sytem but on these machines error codes are a best a rough guide, quite often a fault on the main control board will give several spurious error codes.

Opening up and cleaning selector switch/timer is also not recommended., and attempting to adjust the pressure switch is also a bad idea. Your five flashes could be a self inflicted fault 😥

Might be time to look here
