Interesting little one you might like to put in the memory bank……..
Attended above machine – dryer not functioning, occasionally blowing c/b on spin. Check on the rating label revealed this to be a graded appliance. A further check suggested that the door lock had been replaced. Indesit have passed the loom from the switches and selector unit across the angle of the front right corner, instead of “around the corner”. The previous fitter had sent the wiring to the door lock down the drum side of the loom, instead of the casing side. Consequently, one of the two neutrals had chaffed against the killingly sharp edge of the tub, cut the insulation and gone to intermittent ground. Needless to say, this was the one to the dryer circuit. This problem offered no fault code either.
