called to fit new door latch and spring to this appliance, client had took a part a diy project…and left

what a frustrating job,which way does the bloody spring fit and is pecker under tension????

theres no such job as a 5 min one

Latch is sprung loaded, a bit of a pain to fit even when you have taken the old one off yourself.
