Indesit WD12X fading clothes

This is the first time I’ve come across this problem.
Any black clothes that have been washed four or five times have now turned brown.
None of the clothes have shrunk.
The water doesn’t seem to be getting to hot. They have all been washed at 40.
The customer uses Persil Colour.
Any ideas?

Ask the customer to try a different powder?? If not shrinking, probably not getting to hot?
