Indesit WD12X – multiple problems

MY machine has a couple of problems that I think are related.

On settings 1-4 the machine fills up with water and cycles 5 seconds clockwise, stops, 5 seconds anti-clockwise. It does this forever* and will not advance. By switching the machine off, and the selecting “rinse”, it will finish the cycle like normal.
*Sometimes the machine will stop rotating after about 5 minutes and the dial clicks round like below

On settings 5-8 the machine fills up with water and then immediatly drains. The dial then clicks round.

I have unscrewed the filter on the bottom front right, there filter was not blocked.

So now I am stuck and have no idea where to go. Please help!

you dont fix it you replace it.
