ParticipantA quick question….. I need a pair of brushes for an Indesit WDE12UK. I have had a look in the shop here, but just need to clarify which item I should order as the WDE12/WDE12UK is not listed.
The brush I have removed looks like the type pictured against part number 105214, except that the holder of the existing type is red, not black and I do not know if that is significant.
I notice that the (almost) universal brush, 047317 is shown as fitting the WD12SUK (nearest model number I can find) and is red in colour but is not physically the same as those I have removed.
Please can you clarify which I should order, and whether they are sold and priced individually or as a pair.
Many thanks indeed.

At least two different motors used on these, CESET and Indesco, which is yours?
The important things are, position of mounting lugs, size of terminal and direction of angle at the end of the carbon brush itself.Virtually always come as a pair for all makes, except from Zanussi. 😉

Thanks for the quick reply… it is an Indesco motor, (I cannot see a specific model number on it though).

THESE are the ones required. The holders may be red or black or as the piccie, red and black 😀 .

Thanks for the info chaps, I have obtained and fitted new brushes and they are now bedding into the comm..
In fact, there is clearly some thing odd about this machine because the 047317 was not correct, (different shape fixing lugs and pillars), although the bevel on the end of the brush is correct.
105214 has the correct housing, (screw position & pillars), but the bevel is in the wrong direction.
The brushes I actually used are Indesit part number C00194594. They are labelled as being for the CESET motor, but the motor fitted is labelled INDESCO.
Perhaps these companies have merged or some thing.
I just thought it worth mentioning in case anyone else meets this odd state of affairs.
Thanks again for the help.

Indesit are bad for changing part designs every 5 minutes. I often find I have to re-use the plastic shell from the original brushes as the new ones are slightly different.
