I have a fault with the spin cycle on my indesit wdg 1095 W washer dryer. The machine washers ok but the cloths are always too wet at the end. The machine starts to spin at high speed but then slows to a low speed after about 10 seconds, this repeats every time it spins. Running the machine empty makes no difference. Could this be a fault with the out of balance sensor?

There are early and late versions of this machine. The early version uses a non-digital PCB screwed to the floor of the machine. The motor will be the most likely suspect on this one. The later machine has a digital PCB in a housing on the back panel – the PCB is usually the suspect on this version.

Worth checking the motor brushes on both versions, they’ll be pretty worn by this time.

Difficult to tell you how to diagnose this properly – being a Pro, I have the boards on the van for substitution purposes.

Being 10 (?) years old, you don’t want to repair it by just throwing parts at it – it’ll finish up very expensive.

Stay safe, power off if investigating.
