have been supplied part no mer032850 door gasket by connect. they are sure part is correct. on trying to fit the new seal i find it just will not sit in behind the lip of the outer tub and even if trying to hold in place, the minute i tighten the band it just pulls off! do not want to be beaten by a door boot!! Any ideas please?

2 types on this model depending on serial. after 80118 it’s C00032850, if it’s before date code 80118 it’s C00045394 😉

Apparentlly two seal ar epossibilities yours with ‘detergent recovery’ and HPTC00032850 ‘without’ unfortuneately there is no other information when the change took place other than the dryer heater manifold was changed from serial 811 18.0001 Jan 1998

c00045394 is the detergent recovery type, the original isn’t. Strange one. Should be such a simple job too!!
