this washes then starts to click round on final rinse.flashes 13 times. read thread on this sayin ntc on dryer.had look no broken wires an dryer works ok. mmm ,wonderiin how it can be ntc. if dryer works ok? 😆 any advice guys
The pot state is a thermistor or “ntc” device. If you split it from the circuit, you should get a reading through it in kOhms. If you then heat the device, the resistance should fall. If there is no circuit, you’ll get F13.
The microtemp is just a thermal fuse in line with the heater. If either fail, you will not get an error code at all.
I only ever had one of these F13’s. The wire was broken but it was only apparent after some testing because the insulation was unbroken and only the copper conductors were broken. Don’t ask me how it happens but it does. Vibration I suppose.
