My out of warrenty indesit evolution we16 washing machine has today thrown a wobbly. It does not show any fault codes but makes a horrible (stalled motor sounding) noise and either does not finish wash takes or takes an incredibly long time to do so. My first thought was jammed drum, but it spin freely by hand and when the spin part of the cycle starts the drum spins full speed. One thing i am not sure of though is that the drum only revolves in one direction ( clockwise looking from the front) and i cant remember if it used to revolve both directions. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. p.s. have checked outlet pump and removed 20p that was stuck in there to no avail.

It will almost certainly mean a bad connection between the main Control Module and the Motor (Connector block contacts) OR the Relay within the Control Module at fault???
Other factors could be Motor Brushes, Pressure Switch contacts etc. Not an easy fault to diagnose accurately without checking out all these really 😉 And certainly not recommended for unqualified inspection 🙁
Is it not covered by a 2 year warranty so you can call in the experts??
