Our Indesit WE16 ” Just Out Of Warrenty” sounds like we washing a bag of spanners!
I have been told this is a drum bearings problem and they need replacing.
Is this a job i could do myself?

It is not a DIY job in changing the drum bearings, very difficult, fiddley and a physical challenge even for us experts.
Provided the machine hasn’t been operated in this situation for too long, then changing the ball race bearings and water seal should be all that is required. Cost to do that from one of us guys here on this site (see Directories in Navigation Column) would be around £100 in total. 🙂
If the drum however is very loose and moves up and down on the drum shaft, very noisy rotating the drum by hand, then its possibly a ‘write off’ 🙁 as it would need a complete Drum assembly 🙁
