my wg1130t will wash ok but will not spin,any suggestions?

Try to see if it will wash again? Because I suspect the motor no longer turns at all. A quick check and you may confirm my suspicions 😉

Now if I’m right, then it’s likely the Motor Brushes are worn and need an expert in to replace them (it’s not too costly a job).

martin thanks for your reply but brushes are ok,it will work on low speed ie normal wash but will not spin in fast speed,I have been told that there is possibly a triac gone on the speed control card,which would switch the speeds over

Yes the module is suspect in this case (or the module connections…do burn out sometimes 😉 )

Not expensive to get repaired either!

martin,got a new module online £35,changed and now it`s ok,thanks for your input 🙂

Hi there,

I have a similar problem to one already described here.

The wash works fine, but when the whole cycle finishes the clothes are sopping wet and you cannot get the machine to spin manually with program 7 or 14. When you do select a spin cycle it sounds like the motor is trying to do something, but the drum never starts moving, and the dial just eventually moves to stop position.

As I said the drum seems to move pefectly fine for wash cycles so I suspect it isnt the brushes but more likely something that controls different speed cycles. Maybe it is the Module as suggested here?
