    Hi there,
    I’m new to the forum. I have a 7 year old Indesit WG 1130T washing machine that has developed a problem, which is as follows;
    The wash cycle is no longer consistant. Even with the drum empty, it does not always rotate one way, then the opposite, and appears to “stick”. The drum fills with water as normal. Also, the spin cycle no longer works (non-fast coloured program four to eight), although it does perform the light spin when using the synthetics program (8-14 on the timer). The drum drains as usual on all cycles.
    There is no noise from the drum bearing when rotated by hand, nor any play on the drum.
    Is this a fault with the drive belt, or something more sinister? Any advice would be appreciated before I decide to condem the unit.

    Sounds like either the module or timer or maybe even the motor or a combination of those. Not likely to be the belt. Ensure the plug is out before investigating.
