A friends washing machine’s bearing (Indesit WG1234T) has failed and I would like to replace this. How difficult is it to replace the beaing on this machine and how much could I expect the parts to cost?
Funny enough, a couple of days before, my Indesit WD12UK Drum Bearing also failed and my sisters Indesit WAX120 Drum Bearing failed a couple of months ago. Fortunately for my sister her machine was still under waranty as it was only a couple of months old.
It appears that Indesit have a serious problem with their Drum Bearings and it would be nice of them to take responsiblity for their poor parts and have a replacement policy! Are there any procedures we can follow to have Indesit stand up and accept that they use inferior parts, as well as repair these failed units?
I have tried emailing Indesit and I am yet to receive any reply.

The Bearing Kit (Part No BKT74) is available via email to : spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk Just add the details to your message.
The replacement is fairly straighforward enough, though I would recommend a local repairer to sort it for you at a reasonable cost via this link: Repairs@
