We have a Indesit WG1234T washing machine. Just recently the main setting we use (no 4) has stopped working while the other settings work fine. This is also the case with the other settings that use 40c as the temp.
Any ideas what could be wrong if it is possibly to get fixed at a good price?
Yes, It works fine on the 90c wash and on 60c but 40 it just doesnt work at all. If we set it to dial 3 when it moves to 4 it stops sometimes and we have to click it on. But iv also tried other types of washs at 40c and it doesnt work
you say it works on a 90 degree cycle…does it complete the wash all the way to spinning out?….if not then it may just be the cold inlet valve that has failed.
On the 90 program it will fill with hot only, 60 prog it will take a mixture of hot and cold and on the 40 it will just fill with cold so if the cold water supply isn’t there it will not start the wash.
As far as I can recall the WG1234T has a seperate Thermostat alongside the Timer Control :con: If that is the case and if you set your machine to do a 90 degree wash and it works fine, then a 40 degree wash should do likewise.
Therefore based on that theory the fault is likely associated with the Timer Control sticking between 3 & 4 and not the heater or thermostat.
