hmmm
ParticipantFirst off, let me just say hello as this is my first post here .
Secondly I have a Indesit WG9 Washing Machine . Not a good start, I know.
The machine was washing when I turned the Switch to stop it from rinsing, and heard a little bang.
Now the drum doesn’t spin at all 😡 and my mum’s blaming me
.I checked the pipes where clean and some sludge did come out. I blew in to the pipe which is connected to the Pressure Switch and I heard some clicking so I assume that’s fine.
Any ideas? Need to get this sorted or i’ll never hear the end of it .
Thanks.

ParticipantIndesit WG 9. Around 5 years old. It’s a very basic machine and cost around £140 when I bought it.

There was a WG924……. Check labels for info, not control panel. There should be one in the door porthole and one on the rear of the machine. If it is a WG924, you have almost certainly blown the electronic board.
Power off if you are investigating further.

Yes found WG9. Sounds like electronic module may have popped. Unplug power if you are going to have a look yourself :zap: .

ParticipantHow much does it cost for a new Electronic Module?
Is there anyway to test this before purchasing / replacing?
Or am I better off buying a new machine?
Many thanks. I appreciate your help :D.p.s The water fills and drains etc but drum does not spin .

It will almost certainly be visibly blown if you had a pop noise…..

That’s the timer unit – look for a printed circuit board. They range from £45 – £85 depending on which one’s fitted – post up the numbers on the heatsink for an exact price.

ParticipantI think even £45 is too much to spend on it.
Probably buy a new one.
After doing a search, it seems that it’s best to go with a Bosch Washing Machine. My Budget is £400.
I was thinking of the Bosch WFX2868GB 1400 Spin Washing Machine.
Is this a good choice?
Thanks again.

Yep, that’s a good choice 🙂
Just for your benefit, the WG9G module is part number C00066454 at £48.68 ex VAT and carriage 😉
