indesit WG924 gets stuck on rinse

hi

my indiset WG924 gets stuck on rinse, after its gets stuck if i click the dial round to the next step of the program the program compleats corectly.

when the program is stuck on rinse, there is watter flowing out of the drain hose at a good rate, and although the dial is quite stiff when you turn it on, it dosent feel like its stuck. there are no unusual rattels from the dishwasher.

the drum dosent turn during rinse, but i dont think its suposed to at that stage of the program.

there are two rinse positions on the dial, 5 and 13 and both these get stuck depending on choise of program.

any thoughts?

It’s not syphoning is it? Drain hose pushed too far down standpipe can give a similar effect.

pulled the cable back up a bit and the washing machine works as good as it ever did
