ParticipantHi,
I know there’s a sticky about this, but i’ve seached and can’t find one for this exact model of machine: Indesit WI 121. Machine is almost 2 years old. No probs so far.
Put the machine on DAILY SPIN (9). It fills with water, then the dial starts clicking round, and it makes a noise. While it’s doing this it empties the water, then unlocks the door.
Unplugged it for a few mins, put the dial on a STOP line, turned it back on, set it going on DAILY SPIN. Same thing happens.
Any ideas?

Count the flashes…… 1-2-3-4-pause-repeat for instance.

Problem with the water level control circuit. Pressure switch may not be working properly, check air hose for kinks and holes, collecting bell at bottom may have sludged up.
Power off if you are doing this yoursef.

Penguin45.Thanks,
Have just been playing with it again.
The 10 flashes are when it’s got stuck, and the dial is clicking. It’s 10 slow flashes, pause, 10 slow flashes, wait, repeat.
When I turn the machine on from cold, it gives 3 quick flashes, then does slow flashes continously, and does not repeat the 3 quick ones.

When you switch on, you should get a slow steady pulse from the lamp. When you have set the programme and started it, you get the three quick flashes to tell you that the programme has been accepted, it should then go steady. It’s when it starts flashing after that that you’re in trouble…………

So it’s knackered then.
The thing that bugs me is that we had the boiler (next to the washing machine) inspected the other day, and then the washing machine didn’t work the next time I went to use it.
But then what would the boiler guy have done? The hot and cold taps are still on and working. Drainage is OK. The thing at the bottom behind the kickstrip isn’t sludged or blocked.

Er……. post #4 does give you some direct advice as to what the problem is. Even if the level switch has failed, it’s a cheap enough component to replace. There may not even be a component failure.
