    Hi Guys,

Im having a nightmare with my Indesit WI121 once the washer is loaded and set to program – I shut the door and nothing happens, the light comes on but stays on (it should flash and hear the water loading!).

It stays like that and nothing happens, door does not seem to lock and you can open the door with the washer on.

If you have any ideas to help me I would really appreciate it.

    Many Thanks

    Danny

Door lock is p/no 1603292. An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get things moving for you.

Power off if you are going to do this yourself.

Hi there I contacted spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk stating part number which you gave and they told me that the part number was different i.e 1604781.When I recieved it it was smaller than the original part and the electrical connection doesnt fit.

As shown on the page for that lock here, there’s been several changes to it and several part numbers. Every time a supplier changes, a change to the part is made or someone sneezes, the part number changes.

It’s just the way things work with part numbers but it does become rather confusing when you follow ten plus changes through trying to track stuff down. And, you often end up with parts that look to have little more than a passing resemblance to the original one. :rolls:
