    Hi Guys
I have an indesit wi141 that was getting noisy (but ignored it) then my wife opened the door to find oily marks on some of the clothes. I assume both the bearings and seal have gone, is it possible to change them (or is the drum sealed) and if they can be changed is it just follow the advice for other indesit’s that I have read on the forums, checking brass bush, shaft etc? I see you can get the replacement bearings listed as part BKT74 so assume it is possible?
    many thanks

The bearings are in a support spider on the back of the drum, not an easy repair. There are a couple of different types of drum bearing spider, also different drum shaft sizes meaning different bearings.

If you really feel up to it, the best thing to do would be to try and remove the spider and get the bearings out before you order any parts, also carefully examine the drum shaft. If the drum shaft is badly damaged, bin the machine and buy something better. 😉

Plug out and keep the elastoplast handy. :rolls:

    Jim.
