I’ve just ordered a module for the above and have been told by Qualtex that an eeprom will also be required. This module is located behind the facia not at the bottom of the m/c where they usually reside and I cannot see a plug in point for a smart card reader etc.Can some kind soul advise if a eeprom is required, or if it’s a plug in and play type ?

Sorry, should have searched :rolls: apparently it does require a plug in eeprom.

Might just do that Martin 😉 but out of interest, I’m assuming that a smart card is not required to programme these should I get an eeprom from Qualtex ?

you may be lucky and the eeprom might be available, if not you use a blank one and programme it with the smartcard reader/writer with the low end adaptor attached.

If the eeprom is a plugin one then see if the one on the old board is good, as that will already be programmed.

I will need to check if the old eeprom is surface mounted or a plug in type Allsorts. It’s in a holiday cottage and I’m having difficulty getting access at the moment. The m/c’s hardly been used, most people staying there take the washing home with them.
    Thanks for the input.
    Allan.
