Indesit WIA – loose top c/b weight

Hi fokes

You probley all been to one of these where the top c/b weight comes loose and knocks off all those crappy fin like spacers :rolls:

Been to several now and customer feels it unviable as its a new tub asy job but just wondered if there was a repair kit for these – all it needs is some solid spacers to fit over the fixing stud post to stop the sideways movement of the weight once it is tightened down and it would save a write off job.

Anyone know if there is something available or a mod. Seems such a shame to write off these m/c just because indesit are tryng to save 3p in plastic making these fluted spacers instead of something solid.

a bed of expandable foam has been known to do the trick

Thanks for the reply Hotdog – What type and where do you get your expandable foam from? – never had to use any before.
