Indesit WIA121 the washing machine has power and the lights all come on but then nothing happens no water , no drum action , nothing. does’nt matter what progran I select the machine will light up go thru its sequence of lights then one of the 3 lights to the left of the dial will stay lit and nothing happens , I changed the door interlock but still made no differance.

Hopefully someone can help, I was thinking it maybe the PCB board ? any help much appreciated , thanks ❓

Motor brushes would be the first thing to check, be sure to remove the mains plug and watch out for some sharp edges. 😉

PS. Have the Hotpoint WF325, Hotpoint WD440, the Zanussi FL881 and the Hoover WDM120 all packed up completely now. :rolls:

    Thanks iadom

I will give that a go, but I would have thought it would have still filled with water ? as I said I do as normal set it to whatever program I want usually 4 or 5 or spin only, everything seems to ba as normal lights go thru the sequence then it should starts to fill up with water but nothing.

all that happens is after the sequence of lights any one of the 3 lights at the side of the dial will stay lit ? u then hear the door interlock click and nothing happens ???????? but as u say i’ll try the brushes, I will do this tomorrow and report back, if this does the trick great , thanks again

The electronics on these are woeful so anything is possible, you should get flashing lights if it encounters a fault but worn brushes can give the fault you have.
