indesit wib101 stops

I have an indesit WIB101UK washing machine it fills for a short while but when it gets to the point where the drun should start turninng it just stops I have looked for obvious signs of pitting or burning the only thing I can see is that the programmer pcb is partially covered in soot.
Continuity on heater and motor are ok I was going to look for a programmer but after reading your article I am having doubts????? any ideas????

Have you removed the motor brushes and examined them?

havnt checked motor bushes but after replacing programmer it worked for about 5 mins filled with water started washing also started heating up thought i had cracked it 😆 but then just stopped again 😥
