    Hi,
Appreciate it if anyone can advise how to fix this problem. The machine starts up as normal water runs in. Then it does a couple of spins, to balance the clothes I think? After and minute or two the 3rd LED “Extra Rinse” and the Door lock start to flash and the water starts to be pumped out.

Also, is there an easy way to replace the PCB as it is a real pain to unclip and reclip?

And finally a small spring fell out of the back of the programme knob, I think, is there anything to show how it goes back in?

    Best regards and thanks

This machine does not spin in wash at the start. Lamp 3 flashing is telling you that there is a problem with the tacho generator signalling motor speed back to the pcb. The pcb is turning the motor on and increasing the voltage to try and get a response from the motor. It’s not getting one, so flashing lamp.

Possible problems are failure of tacho coil on the end of the motor, tacho magnet becoming detached, broken wiring on the motor, its connectors or the wiring back to the pcb. The motor itself may be down to earth. Entirely possible that the fault lies on the pcb itself – this is an Indesit, after all.

Removing pcb is a pain. Unplug the pump and disengage all the wires from the pcb box and it should lift up and swing through the back panel.

    Power off first.

    Problem solved so very happy.

Followed you advice and checked the tacho. Looked from underneath and found a wire had broken, probably excessive wagging as the machine vibrated. Now sorted.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
