ParticipantHello,
We have a Indesit WIDL 126 UK Washer Dryer.
Basically its not draining water away, well theres some left in the drum after a wash is aborted, due to all the LED’s flashing at once, indicating there is a problem. The manual says call for assistance if the LED’s start flashing.
First I though it was blocked, but I have cleaned out the pump and siphoned water from the drain pipe at the back, a bit of water came out of the pump/pipe but the drum didnt empty.
Sometimes when you power it off from the power switch, you can still here a motor or something running at the back which continues till you unplug it.
Although if you put in on just a spin the water does go, likewise if you tell it to drain it removes some of the water. But it just fills up again when you go to wash.
We have had it for 2 months now, its used at least once every day. Has it worn out already? Or is there anything else I can check before calling them up. Are call outs free, during (1st) year of manufacturers warranty?
Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a pressure switch problem, this will be covered by your guarantee. It sounds like you have done the obvious by checking the filter, so the call shouldn’t be chargeable.
Get ’em in!

It should be covered under the waranty as P says so you really have to call and wait for Merloni per the warranty. Getting an engineer from Merloni right now would appear to be a whole other issue though. 😕

ParticipantWhy would they do that Martin? It isn’t a foreign body – and, have you seen the gap round the drum front on these things? Hopeless.
