    Dear All,

I’m looking for a way to fix my washer/dryer.
The problem: during drying cycle it makes clother more wet instead of drying it.

    The sympthoms:
-After even 5 minutes of drying an originally dry piece of cloth becomes wet.
-During drying cycle lots of steam is produced in the drum. It even leaks out of the detergent holder.
-Hot air is produced well and blown into the drum.
-The machine is hooked on cold water.
-The filter between the drum and the white tank where the cooling water goes in for condensation was clogged with dirt, I cleaned it, no change.
-When I close the water valve the clothes dry (except the extreme amount of stem in the drum).
-I tried to use a bucket to collect the outlet water instead of draining it into the sewer, no change.
-The outlet pump seems to be working fine, as it pumps out the water just fine.
-The drying operation consists of 2-3 minutes cycles: pumps out water, lets cold in (about a liter).
-I connected the condenser water input valve control wires and the pipe to a different valve, everything behaves the same. The valve semms to be ok.

    I’m stuck with the debugging.
My feeling is that too much steam is produced, it is not condensed. The condenser water seems to be leaking into the drum. Is the condenser water too much? Is it controlled by the pressure switch? If yes, it might be faulty and lets in too much water?
Could there be a leak so the condenser water leaks into the drum?

I haven’t seen it from the inside, but I suspect there is a condenser water holder layer outside the drum? There would be no point to put cold water directly into the drum…

How much water should the valve let in during drying? What could be the problem?

    Thank you!

Cold water passing through the condenser is vital. Clothing getting wetter and steamy are as a result of either: No water passing through the condenser OR the condenser is blocked with fluff detritus. OR even a combination of both!!!

Re: Indesit widl126 not drying but wetting

I’m a bit confused here where and how the condensation is happening.
First, there is the white semi-transparent tank at the back, connecting the heater unit and the drum, while also connects the inlet water pipe to the drum. It also has a filter at the bottom right where it connecs to the drum. I cleaned this. I see fluff inside dispersed.
Right now I’m not completely sure why it was designed like this, why is a tank, why this shape. It is always empty in my case, water flows directly down.
Not sure how to check if air comes back.
I was told that the condenser is in the drum, I suppose an other layer on the drum: clothes – grille – “centrifuged water collector” – separation – condenser ? As I haven’t seen it from the inside, I might imagine it wrong.
    Where exactly is the condenser?

    That “semi-transparent tank” you mentioned.

As has been said that tank is the condenser, water from the valve enters the top and flows down the condenser down to the bottom of the drum, this water then gets pumped out, it should not reach the level of the inner drum

Put it on dry cycle empty and look through the door and see if water is visible in the bottom of the tank after a few minutes. The condenser valve should run then the once the water level reaches just below the inner drum it should pump out. The water should not reach the inner drum and be visible as it will wet the clothes, Check the sump for a blockage. Seen a sock sitting on top of the OKO ball do it, also you said you swapped the valves around that won’t work as the condenser valve has a restricted flow rate, I have seen these fail and let in to much water resulting in the same thing water reaching the inner drum.

    Check sump and pump first.
