Re: Indesit WIDL126 – Steam Steam Steam

It proves that the soap hose is now sealed and steam cannot vent back through it. Presumably the vibration of the spin sequence is sufficient to throw the retained water out of the soap hose. Is it very bouncy on spin?

Simple thing to do is to make sure that the machine is square to the floor – all four feet firmly down so that the machine cannot be rocked by hand. It doesn’t have to be plumb-bob vertical, just steady. A wooden floor doesn’t help, it can in fact add to vibration on spin, so concrete floors are a better bet.

These are all likely to be things that Indesit throw back to you about the state of affairs, so check them out fully.

Glad we’ve made a bit of progress,

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

    Hi Penguin45,

It does a good dance once in a while but nothing extraordinary – my floor is carpetted so it isnt that bad. I don’t have much choice since my whole house is carpetted (aside from the loo).

I have to wash another load tomorrow so let me see if things stay normal then.

Thanks a ton for the help so far!
