ParticipantHi everyone,
My washer dryer does not stop running after a programme been selected.
For example, I selected programme 2, temperature 40, and 45 mn for dry in the morning and went for a ride. I came back late in the afternoon and the machine was still running. It didn’t move to the dry section. I was forced to stop it manualy. (unplug and plug).
Then i decided to do another cycle again next day. And I sat, and observed the phenomenon. Then I realise that the machine washed, drained, spined… and then start the cycle again without moving to the drying section.
I also noticed that the water is cool, like there is no heating during the wahing cycle.
I moved to another scenario: wash only without dry. unfortunatly, the Indesit keep doing the same fault. running, running, and running; cool water only. I had to stop it manually again
What can the issue(s) be ??

Possibly a faulty heating element.

Hello,
I got a big problem with this WIDL126. This washing machine keeps looping… whatever program selected.
What I mean is that if I select Program 2, the machine washes, rinses and then start the cycle wash-rinse again and again until I stop it manually.
This also happens whenever I select The Rinse or The Spin Programs.
There is only one program that works fine: Drain. When Drain selected, the machine Drains correctly and stop normally.
All other programs just can’t stop until I press stop button to stop it.
I have checked the heater element and it’s OK.
Please help.
Many thanks 😳

Hiya
I have a WIDL126 and it was making alot of noise during certain parts of the cycle (either wash or dry) but its stopped that now but I have noticed the dryer is not getting hot. Also it keeps running for ever and ever.
It has done this before and I just cleaned it out and it seemed to fix the problem. But now the problem seems to have worsened – any ideas what it maybe? Thermostat? Bearings?
Is it worth repairing or jsut buy a new one? This si about 5 years old and has been in constant use.December 2, 2008 at 4:55 pm #267070iadom

It sounds as though you have more than one fault on what it very much a low end, budget machine.
I would be wary of spending any signifcant amount of money on it.
Jim.
