My indesit WIDL126S recently tripped the RCD in my distribution board when on the dryer function. After reading a few forums, it looked like my heater element had blown. I checked this and it was indeed the case. I changed this element and i am now getting the error code of flashing lights 1+2+4+Door Lock. From these forums, this appears to be fault F13. Does anyone know if this means that i need to now change the dryer motor? Also, should the dryer motor be on whenever the element is on? I dont want to change the motor then find out that it is something that is driving the motor that is not operating.

    Thanks for your help

dryer motor has to be running when element is on otherwise it will overheat

You need to make sure the fan motor will spin freely, its very common for the fan to come loose on the motor shaft and foul against the heater box.
