I have a customer who says her m/c is sticking on 90 wash and boiling the clothes. Can anyone let me know what reading the NTC should be ? It’s separate from the heater on this one and shows 85k ohms at room temp and went down to 43k ohms when I poured a kettle of boiling water into the drum.
The customer states that the m/c works fine on the lower temp washes.

No idea what the NTC reading should be but logic tells me it should be replaced without hesitation. 😉

Hope your right Martin as the lady has already let me know that she won’t be forking out for a module.

Well it’s either a duff NTC, a duff module or the connections between. Replacing the temperature sensor as far as your discerning customer is concerned will at least prove you’ve gone to some effort trying to resolve her problem.

I would be going for the NTC as the wash one causes various faults due to them breaking down over time as they seem to become porous over time.

Thanks for the input. I’ll chance an ntc as they don’t cost too much. 8)

Also, make sure it’s not connected to the hot pipe in the house and taking in it water.
