Help please, my indesit 157s has died. i have had the council in fitting new electrics, which they are doing in stages around the new kitchen extension they are putting up, the plug for the washing machine has been hanging in mid air and i noticed the other day the lights on the machine were flashing frantically but the machine was still doing the wash so i let it be, i then went to put another load on after the council had been in fiddling with the electrics again but when i plugged the machine in it tripped the switch, i tried again but it did the same so i plugged it in to another socket-nothing, no tripping, no lights on machine, it seems dead, tried the plug fuse twice, that didn’t solve it. everything i plugged into that switch tripped the switch. the council sent in an elecrician and he fiddled in the electric trip switch box, fiddled with some wires and nothing trips on that switch now. the machine is 14 months old, on average i do 1 wash a day, what i really need to know is, is it the machine at fault or could it be down to the electrics that the council have been doing messing up the electrics in the machine? the council are not interested as they say it’s the machine-are they right or do you think i have a case against them?
