Indesit WIL 123S bearings?

😥 Hi i have just been looking at my daughters indesit wil 123s washing machine and the bearings have gone on the drum, i intend to remove the x shaped casting from the drum tomorrow does anyone know the part number for the bearings and or is it one complete unit, and also what is the best way of stopping the drum from turning while undoing the centre torx screw so i dont damage the pulley wheel and do i need a puller to get the pulley off.Thanks 8)

Bearings can be obtained as a kit, unfortunately you will have to measure the diameter of the bearings and the drum shaft, two different sizes used. You will be unlikely to damage the pulley, however you may do serious damage to any torx bits that you use to try and loosen the fixing bolt. 😉 Heat, a good hard whack, loud and prolonged cursing of the spaghetti munchers who made this awful machine usually does the trick, anything you can wedge the pulley with will suffice, pulley comes off easily.

If and when you do eventually remove the bearing spider, carefully examine the drum shaft for signs of gouging or other damage. If the shaft is in any way damaged, take it to the tip and advise her to invest in a better quality machine.

PS. Please be sure to remove the plug and have several plasters or bandages handy, its like working in a bucket of glass. :rolls:

Thanks for the info, broke a torx bit but eventually undid it after heating it up and have removed the spider just waiting for the new bearings being delivered see what you mean about the plasters 😥 .
